FCKFC's longest-serving chairman steps down

On Wednesday, March 27th, the annual general assembly of FCKFC took place, marking the end of Lars Thor's chairmanship of the F.C. Copenhagen Fan Club.

The 12 years he served as chairman make him the longest-serving chairman of FCKFC; he may even be the longest-serving chairman across all fan clubs in Denmark.

Lars was not up for re-election but chose to step down because he could no longer commit the level of engagement he felt was necessary to hold the position of chairman.

The new chairman of FCKFC is the now former vice-chairman, Christian Hindkjær.

Lars Thor states: "First and foremost, I want to thank the board, both current and past members, the office, the volunteers, the club, and other partners who have been involved during my tenure. I am incredibly happy and proud of my time as chairman and, most importantly, the trust the members have shown me. It pleases me to see that the ideas and visions we had during my term for the fan club have really begun to show results. After 12 years, it is, of course, a bit sad to step down, but I also feel that the time is right for new forces to take over and continue and strengthen the fan club's work as a central part of F.C. Copenhagen's fan community."

On behalf of the board and the fan club, we would like to extend a huge thank you to Lars for the tremendous work he put into improving the fan environment for all fans of F.C. Copenhagen during his 12 years as chairman, and we wish him all the best in the future.
