Viborg - F.C. København - 27/02-2022

FCK displayed solidarity with Ukraine in the days following the Russian invasion. Here at the AWAY game against Viborg on the 27th of February 2022.

Copenhagen Must Stand for Solidarity and Social Responsibility

Lars Seier’s statements about Ukraine do not align with the club’s values, according to the FCKFC board.

In the F.C. Copenhagen Fan Club, we have followed the debate over the past few days regarding one of FCK’s owners and his statements about the war in Ukraine.

For us, it is clear that F.C. Copenhagen, as a club, has taken on an important social responsibility in connection with the war.

The club and its fans have, among other things, supported Davit Khocholava, whose father-in-law tragically lost his life in the conflict, and the club has been behind several initiatives – including fundraising for the victims of the war and inviting Ukrainian refugees to experience matches at Parken.

This is the kind of solidarity and responsibility we believe F.C. Copenhagen should be known for.

Lars Seier is, of course, entitled to his own opinion, but we do not believe it reflects the values that the club should stand for.
